The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM) were introduced with effect from 6 April 2015.
The Regulations place the Principal Designer at the centre of the design process. The aim is to ensure that health and safety is improved by encouraging everyone involved in a project to work together, thus enhancing the planning and management of projects from the very start, through to completion of the works, and even beyond to repair and maintenance.
Hookway is in an excellent position to fulfil the role of Principal Designer.
Due to our long involvement with Construction Health & Safety we have in depth knowledge of all aspects of the design and construction phase of building. Our appreciation of all health and safety matters, as well as our thorough understanding of the CDM Regulations, allows us to fulfil the role of Principal Designer.
Our thorough process ensures that CDM requirements are managed and monitored throughout, ensuring that the project is delivered in a way that secures the health and safety of everyone affected by the work.
Plans to leave the European Union does not alter the current status of the Regulations.
